Ignorance is Bliss – Windows XP Registry Cleaners

August 29th, 2008 by admin

There are two kinds of computer users. The first one is the very technically savvy. They use terms like dual core processing, Windows XP registry cleaners, and motherboard upgrades, and they know what that all means. The other type of computer user, which I include myself in, uses those same very terms and have no idea what they mean and more to the point they don’t want to learn. If we were to use terms like, power button, mouse clicks and keyboards, we would probably know what we were talking about. However, given my extreme lack of computer knowledge, I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Construction Estimating Software for Men in Business

August 28th, 2008 by admin

Many men believe that business and engineering are two complicated areas of learning.   Now combining engineering and business together make it doubly complicated to roam around with.  You just cannot make heads for the other one without having enough years of exposure and study for those learning areas.  You just cannot make senseless multiple choices for the problems that those areas may have.  You need to be exact and accurate to gain profit and efficiency to your craft.  Production accounting or construction accounting is a form of project accounting applied to construction projects.  Especially when multiple contracts come into play, construction accounting is a vitally necessary form of accounting.  If you read reviews for construction estimating software, it will dawn on you that the field of construction uses many terms not used in other forms of accounting, such as draw and progress billing.  Furthermore, construction accounting may also need to account for vehicles and equipment, which may or may not be owned by the company as a fixed asset.  More or less with respect to the amount of business accomplished, construction accounting requires invoicing and vendor payment.

Hands Down Winner

August 28th, 2008 by admin

What I wanted was the basic information and I did not want to get bogged down in the technical jargon that I do not understand anyway. I just wanted to do a basic study and compare dsl cable broadband and I have found out that the hands down winner is cable. Yes, there are arguments out there that would state otherwise, but like I said then you get into technicalities where I want the general. I want to be able to access at a fast speed because that is what I am paying for and the research shows that cable is the winner.

Back to the Future

August 28th, 2008 by admin

Any successful movie trilogy worth it’s weight in salt had a video game tie in for each movie and the Back to the Future movies are no exception.  I think I saw the first two movies but never saw the third one, not completely sure but I know there was one that I did not see I just do no remember which one it was.  Anyways the games were pretty standard fare and really nothing remarkable for me to talk about.  If you are a fan of the movies then they are definitely worth checking out at some point, otherwise you can pass on them if you would like.

Getting better advertizements

August 28th, 2008 by admin

Lately I’m seeing a whole new kind of advertisement in the air that makes you stop and take notice. When the television commercials are out of hand because they just never seem to stop animating I find peace in the banner stand ads. They don’t move but they have an intuitive realism none the less. When you visit a booth at the trade show their are some amazing types of banners to look at. It seems almost as if the banner stands themselves are part of the attractions not just for advertising. I wonder what a banner stand trade show would look like!

Traveling through brisbane

August 28th, 2008 by admin

Last year I was traveling through Australia when I came across Brisbane… Looking through some of the stores out there I saw some of the most beautiful and unique furniture I’d ever seen. furniture in Brisbane left an impression on me so much so that I decided to move out there for a while and see how the people out there live. I often love to just pick up and move somewhere new to get a taste of life in an area I’ve never been. When I got all settled in I purchased a bunch of the furniture pieces I liked and this turned out to be a great social move as people came over always raved about my interesting furniture.

Technology And Repetitive Strain Injury Thumb

August 28th, 2008 by admin

In the last 50 years or so there has been an area of medicine opening up that we've never seen before, and all has to do with technology. As strange as it may sound, the development of the computer and computer jobs has created a plethora of repetitive strain injury thumb cases that we've started to see in our office. All due to the same repetitive motion over and over.

A trade off

August 27th, 2008 by admin

We are fortunate that we have a west facing room that gets sun during most of the day. We are doubly fortunate in that as the sun goes down we get a refreshing breeze (or wind) coming up the valley toward our home. Both of these assets were very handy as we followed the instructions in Earth for Energy to convert our home to our own power plant. Today we are totally free. I have panels, I have a wind generator, and I have a battery house to store the energy. What I do not have are large power bills each month.

Adventure Island Series

August 27th, 2008 by admin

This was a series I am not too familiar with.  The games were made by Hudson soft and ended up releasing three games under the adventure island series.  Now these were platformers that had a twist to them.  You could use differnt modes of transportation at differnt times like using a skateboard or something.  These games were released over in Japan first before they were ultimately brought here to the United States.  Another thing is the names would vary as they switched contries and were known by many different names.  I always hate when they have like 4 names for a game and you get confused.

Bulky Sidearms

August 27th, 2008 by admin

I recently saw a security guard walking through a mall with rather large sidearm equipment. He could barely put his arms down at his side and he looked like he was very uncomfortable. I wonder how long it will be before even the security guards start using the expandable batons like most law enforcement officers do nowadays. I would think that it would greatly reduce the sidearm equipment and hopefully make them a little more effective on the job. I would imagine that having a lot of equipment on your person would really weigh you down if you needed to move fast.

End Your Marriage…Change Your Will

August 27th, 2008 by admin

If you were part of one of the over half of marriages that end in divorce in the United States, then it is likely that you hired an attorney to handle the divorce proceedings. Often many conversations are required between you and your divorce attorney to determine who gets what at the end of a marriage. One item that is often not discussed is changing your will. It is important to get your will changed when going through a divorce and you usually do not need to hire a another attorney to get this done. The last thing you want is for the courts to have to decide to whom your assets belong.

A Bathing Ape Crepe?

August 27th, 2008 by admin

That sentence may sound strange if you are not familiar with the very popular Japanese designer. But to those that are in the now, it is one of the cools designs. A Bape Crepes shoe is what every one is wearing these days. Rappers popularized them. I own a pair and they are green and black. They really look amazing. People ask me where I buy them and I tell them they are lucky if they can get a pair because they are in high demand. I paid a little extra for mine because they were on back order. You really should get a pair.

Women’s Fall Shoes

August 27th, 2008 by admin

Every true fashionista loves shoes. It’s well known that most women have at least two dozen pair!  I love shoes for all seasons, but my favorite shoes are women’s fall shoes. As much as I love my strappy summer sandals I love my plum colored suede pumps and my deep green leather peep toes.  I also like my leather boots and clogs. Best part is that when I bought these shoes I got great savings on them.  I tend to dress in a classic style, so my fashions can be worn year after year.  I don’t have any problem investing in a really good pair of women’s shoes because I know that I’ll be wearing them for years to come!
