Are Texas health insurance HMOs really necessary?
February 28th, 2008 by admin
The State of Texas passed laws to protect the rights of its citizens when it comes to Texas health insurance plans, especially against HMOs. The old days of HMOs paying kickbacks to doctors for not prescribing treatments or medications to save the network money are gone. Patients with HMO Texas health insurance can expect rightful admittance to specialists, pharmaceutical medications and even the entitlement to yearly physicals. What happens though if you do not have a group Texas health insurance plan? The available option is to go with a company that offers individual insurance plans. These companies that market individual plans usually have two options available to you. One is a state mandated Texas health insurance plan and the other is a consumer choice health plan.
