If you were part of one of the over half of marriages that end in divorce in the United States, then it is likely that you hired an attorney to handle the divorce proceedings. Often many conversations are required between you and your divorce attorney to determine who gets what at the end of a marriage. One item that is often not discussed is changing your will. It is important to get your will changed when going through a divorce and you usually do not need to hire a another attorney to get this done. The last thing you want is for the courts to have to decide to whom your assets belong.
