Entry level — is not a career destination
January 28th, 2008 by admin
Many employees seem to forget that, by definition, entry level jobs are not designed to be the culmination of a person’s career — they are only the beginning of it. Understand that, if you are chosen for such a position, you will have to pay your dues just like anyone else: your benefits will not be good, your pay will be low, you will have to work the crappy hours and shifts and do all the undesirable jobs no one else wants. If you think that you have come to the end of your career, you will understandably be discouraged — but if you understand that this is simply a temporary stop along the way, you won’t let it bother you.
