We Get Our Music Through Ares

December 1st, 2009 by admin

My life has always been defined by the music that is playing on the radio in the background. I remember clearly my middle school and high school days whenever a certain song pops up and all the memories come rushing back to me. Now that I am grown, I find that I depend far more on my portable MP3 player than any radio station and the music I hear each day is chosen in advance by me and put on play lists. The ares program makes the soundtrack for my life now a real pleasure to assemble. I get my music fast and easily through this program.

What to ask the photographer

November 30th, 2009 by admin

I’m getting married next year and currently searching for a wedding photographer.  I found a list of some good questions to ask while trying to make the decision on who to hire.  One of the best questions is, do I get to keep my pictures?  Now that you can make copies of digital files, its not unreasonable for the photographer to give you your own set, if you pay of course.  Previously, photographers only had one set of negatives so the industry made you purchase prints from those originals.  Now you can copy and print your own and that’s important to us.

Teen Decoupage Art Project

November 29th, 2009 by admin

My daughter just came home complaining about a school project for her social studies class. She’s in a real panic and says that she has absolutely no artistic talent and will fail this class for sure. Her future seems doomed. What she doesn’t know is that I took that class years ago and I aced it with my art project on the same topic. I’m going to dig out my old Decoupage and use it to give her ideas. She could even update hers by making it 3D. There’s no reason to fail a class because of one project. My daughter will do fine once she gets her own idea and runs with it. That’s what I did so many years ago.

Listening To Jazz Is a Great Escape For Me

November 23rd, 2009 by admin

I like listening to many different types of music, but I would have to say that I prefer something that is easy to listen to and doesn’t cater to the whim of the pop music scene. I first started listening to jazz when I was still in college, because there was a local club where people would go to play. Now I still like listening to it, and I have even had the opportunity to sing in a band a few times. It’s just something purely for fun that I like to do, and it lets me explore my creative side. It’s really great music!

Tablature

November 16th, 2009 by admin

I have just started to learn how to play the guitar.  I have learned the basic cords and hand positions.  I have also bought books on how to read music. I have always loved it and loved to sing but never learned to read it until now. I had come across this word tablature , and didn’t know what it meant at all.  So I did some research. So for a quick way to Explain Tablature, tablature has 6 staffs, 1 for each string on the guitar. Each staff has either have a dash or a number on it.If there is a dash, you play nothing on that string it is nothing.. If there is a number, you should play the corresponding fret number. This is just a brief quick description of tablature, just for the basic information.

Where Did The Money Go For Dance Lessons?

November 3rd, 2009 by admin

When my husband and I were engaged we had planned to take dance lessons, to prepare for the inevitable first dance at our upcoming wedding. We lived in different cities at that time and so it was difficult to arrange. Before we knew it the wedding date was upon us, without any preparation for that first dance. I remember how mortified I felt as we did the the usual “high school sway” dance in completely inappropriate dancing shoes. It was the first time we realized how long “our” song was. We didn’t take those lessons for another 18 years, but when we did… it was worth it.

The help I’ve given to many people

October 27th, 2009 by admin

A short four years ago I found myself turning 32 years old and close to 40 pounds overweight. Because of this I went into what some people would call a fitness frenzy and got myself in great shape. I got into such good shape I became a trainer at one of the gyms near I live. Over the past two years I’ve helped a lot of people get into better shape and lose weight. I feel a lot of gratitude coming towards me in the form of thank you notes and small gifts that are giving to me periodically. I’m just thankful for my new lifestyle.

Pride: Military Tattoo Designs

September 24th, 2009 by admin

Military tattoos are a great way to commemorate service with the Armed Forces. Following a tour in Iraq, some soldiers choose to have their ID numbers or camp names tattooed on their bodies, or even their platoon name. Others get the name of the country they served in, or the number of their tours of duty. This is a very meaningful idea, as these memories are permanent as is the tattoo. Military tattoo designs are great even for those who have never served, such as guns, helmets, tanks, or other militaristic paraphernalia. Some of the more popular military tattoo designs currently include “Freedom is not Free,” the Bald Eagle, an American flag, and nautical inspired tattoos for members of the Navy.

Rates for wedding magician

September 10th, 2009 by admin

What sort of rates should I expect from a close up essex magician to entertain at a wedding reception if I want to receive quality? I’ve already emailed about a dozen and the range is baffling, from two hundred pounds to twelve hundred!!!! My budget is about five hundred but I really don’t want to hire someone below par as this is the biggest day of my life and I don’t want anything to potentially make it less special that I want it to be. Is five hundred a reasonable price to pay for a quality entertainer? Thanks for any help.
