What are Sisters for

My sister drives an old beat up car and has been saving forever it seems for another car. Last week was the final straw; her car broke down, like it always does in a less than safe neighborhood. I’ve Finally Passed my Driving Test!

Well, it’s finally happened, itís only taken me 8 months and 44 hours of lessons, but I’m pleased to announce that I have now passed my driving test! I failed the first one because of an unfortunate incident when practicing hill-starts that saw me start at the top of the hill and end at the bottom of the hill, which was clearly not the idea behind what the instructor was expecting of me. Anyway, now Iíve just bought first time driver insurance and thought Iíd better warn people that Iím now out on the road, watch out for a small red-fiesta! No, itís not that bad, Iím actually quite good given the amount of time I took to pass, and I have perfected the hill start too.

Cheap Ford Longevity

On Tuesday morning I was looking forward to taking a trip down to the beach over in Long Beach. This was the plan until I heard on the radio that the beaches were closed due to a sewage spill. This really kind of messed up my beach plans. Because of this unfortunate news I decided that I was going to look at some cars. The week before I had seen a Cheap Ford being advertised on the Internet. I have had another Ford when I first graduated high school fifteen years before. That car held up very good for many years.

Dental Health Care

It sometimes astounds me how different insurance plans are when you go into another country.  For example, I have a lot of friends who are Canadian.  Health care is free up there so they all don’t have to worry about purchasing health insurance and anything else like that.  They only have to concern themselves about dental insurance.

Here in the States, I have to worry about each different policy, if my job will offer it, and what all is covered. 

It can be rather tiring at times but in the end, I feel like it is always better to be safe than to be sorry.  Hopefully things get a little cheaper with some changes.

VW Polo Nostalgia

My father-in-law was always a fan of Volkswagen cars. He had a little collection, it seemed, and everyone in his family drove one model or another. He actually favored the little Rabbit back in the day. He got really good at fixing them up. If he was still here today, I think he’d really dig the new VW Polo. It has the same quirky styling and still maintains the reliability and ease of maintenance that the older VWs offered. We actually still have one of his cars sitting on our property. No one drives it, but it has a certain emotional nostalgia to my husband.

Honda Jazz Good Day

My boyfriend works at a used car supermarket, and has been keeping his eye out for a new vehicle for me. The one I am currently driving is alright, except for the fact that it regularly breaks down on me. Needless to say, I’m looking forward to the day he calls me and says that they finally got a Honda Jazz in, or something to that effect. I’m just not a big fan of getting stranded on the side of the road, and having to call anyone and everyone to come rescue me. So it’ll be a good day when I trade up.

GPS is The Way to Go

In all my trips, I’ve learnt to carry a map with me wherever I go. I find it to be useful in the event I am unsure of my current location. However, my friend has since demonstrated that GPS is the way to go. Highly efficient and convenient, a GPS provides multiple routes for me to choose from whenever I want to travel from one place to another. I bought the best auto GPS navigation available in the market and I’ve never been happier. I’ve since discovered so many new routes and I even successfully evade traffic congestions many times, saving much time spent on travel.
