Syesha Mercado didn’t make the finals of American Idol

May 17th, 2008 by admin

I don’t think anyone is as upset as I am that Syesha Mercado didn’t make the top 2 on American Idol. I thought she was way better than those two David’s. Syesha should have beat at least one of them out!

There were a lot of tears at the elimination, but don’t feel too bad for Syesha Mercado. She’ll go on to do the summer tour with the other American Idol contestants plus she will no doubt land a recording contract all her own. Too bad she’ll be under contract with Simon and the other heads at American Idol. It’s no secret that they will be taking a huge lump of any money she gets.

Religious Festivals Are Particularly Significant In Cyprus

April 14th, 2008 by admin

Cyprus colorful history is reflected in the rich cultural life in Cyprus today. Almost every week there is some sort of celebration, a festival, a wedding or a saint’s day (which are celebrated instead of birthdays). Religious festivals are particularly significant in Cyprus and none more so than the Greek Orthodox Easter. This is the highlight of the religious year and is considered more important than Christmas. On Easter Saturday most Cypriots will be found in the church, attending midnight mass. There is a bonfire with an effigy of Judas outside the church and also fireworks. On Easter Sunday families sit down together to eat the traditional roast lamb lunch.

Hillary Clinton Should Withdraw From Her Campaign For The Democratic Nomination.

March 19th, 2008 by admin

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton has let her ego override her reason. Her bid to be the Democratic nominee is lurching toward destruction. Hillary Clinton seems obsessed with victory no matter what the cost. And the cost is likely to be a Republican victory in November and the crippling of the Democrats for a long time to come. Without even mentioning the unintended result that the nation will have to endure four more years of Republican administrations.

It’s long past the time for Hillary Rodham Clinton to put a stop to the negativity. She must end it now before doing more destruction to the United States and to the party. We citizens call on her to withdraw her nomination bid and wholeheartedly give her endorsement to Barack Obama. Enough time is available for a joining of the rivals to succeed and for a Democratic victory against McCain.

Call on Senator Clinton to end the conflict by signing and telling your friends about the citizen’s petition at http://www.HillaryGetALife.com.
