The fastest time of all Grand National runners was 8m47.8s by Mr Frisk in 1990. The Aintree Grand National is such a spectacle people travel to Liverpool from all over the World to see it for their own eyes. Over 3,000 caterers make sure there is enough food to go around. Over 75 ground staff spend a month preparing the fences before the Aintree Festival starts. The spruce which tops the fences is transported from the Lake District. Today the number of grand national runners is restricted to 40 for safety reasons but the biggest field occurred in 1929 when 66 runners took place, a record for any horse race ever. A Bathing Ape Crepe?

August 27th, 2008 by admin

That sentence may sound strange if you are not familiar with the very popular Japanese designer. But to those that are in the now, it is one of the cools designs. A Bape Crepes shoe is what every one is wearing these days. Rappers popularized them. I own a pair and they are green and black. They really look amazing. People ask me where I buy them and I tell them they are lucky if they can get a pair because they are in high demand. I paid a little extra for mine because they were on back order. You really should get a pair.

Grand National hits the headlines once again in 2007

July 30th, 2008 by admin

In 2007, a typically embarrassing delay of eight minutes to the start of the famous race puts aintree in the headlines for the wrong reasons once again. For many years it has been thought that foul play by the grand national starters were at play to disrupt the race for the many excited punters. Of course this is point blank refused by the parties involved. In this particular race many debates in the press rage as to who is at fault, with starter Peter Haynes blaming the jockeys for failing to obey his instructions. Haynes is later to be replaced by Sean McDonald.

Tippmann 98 Custom: The Ultimate Gift to My Hubby

July 27th, 2008 by admin

I have long learned that with men age is not a guarantee of maturity. Over the past few months my husband has been taking so much time playing paintball. I have never really been into one so I couldn’t understand their agitation over the game. My husband is a great guy. Aside from paintball which takes most of his time he’s always been a hands-on dad to my one year old daughter. So I’ve researched and thought of giving the ultimate gift to my hubby, the Tippmann 98 custom. I have absolutely no idea what that is but his best friend said there is no other thing that would make him happy but this. True enough he promised to change diapers for the next two weeks as his way of thanking me for the gift. What a steal indeed.
