An Emergency Over The PA System
September 3rd, 2008 by admin
The other day while at the store, an urgent page came over the store’s Fender Passport Deluxe PA System. There was a little boy that was lost and couldn’t find his mother. I’m sure the little boy was scared if he couldn’t find his mother, but I’m sure that his mother was just as scared. Thank goodness for having a PA system in the store. This will allow every adult to be made aware of the situation and help the little boy. I only hoped that it wouldn’t take too long for the little boy to be reunited with his mother. Fortunately, after ten minutes, another announcement came over the PA system that the little boy was reunited with his mother.

Less on the network
September 2nd, 2008 by admin
At work we don’t always have the same computer. We work in cubicles. While we have a log in to get us into the programs we need it is still difficult to do somethings. Recently they passed out 2gb USB Flash Drive to all employees.
They decided that we could use this to put our presentations and documents on to store them. That way there is not as much information that they have to store out on the network. It is nice because it also allows us to take home any presentations that we need to finish, which makes life easier.

A Tour of the Test Area
August 31st, 2008 by admin
For many years I worked for a jet-engine manufacturer. Although that sounds like it might be interesting, the actual work can be very boring.
But not the test area. The company owned a huge piece of land which was miles away from the nearest house or business. This was because when they tested jet engines or their parts, it was often very, very loud.
I was lucky enough to get a tour of the area and was shown everything from a Vibration Analyzer, which tested the affects of vibrations on parts, all the way to an entire engine firing up for the first time.
That was the most interesting boring job I ever had.

Ignorance is Bliss - Windows XP Registry Cleaners
August 29th, 2008 by admin
There are two kinds of computer users. The first one is the very technically savvy. They use terms like dual core processing, Windows XP registry cleaners, and motherboard upgrades, and they know what that all means. The other type of computer user, which I include myself in, uses those same very terms and have no idea what they mean and more to the point they don’t want to learn. If we were to use terms like, power button, mouse clicks and keyboards, we would probably know what we were talking about. However, given my extreme lack of computer knowledge, I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Hands Down Winner
August 28th, 2008 by admin
What I wanted was the basic information and I did not want to get bogged down in the technical jargon that I do not understand anyway. I just wanted to do a basic study and compare dsl cable broadband and I have found out that the hands down winner is cable. Yes, there are arguments out there that would state otherwise, but like I said then you get into technicalities where I want the general. I want to be able to access at a fast speed because that is what I am paying for and the research shows that cable is the winner.

Back to the Future
August 28th, 2008 by admin
Any successful movie trilogy worth it’s weight in salt had a video game tie in for each movie and the Back to the Future movies are no exception. I think I saw the first two movies but never saw the third one, not completely sure but I know there was one that I did not see I just do no remember which one it was. Anyways the games were pretty standard fare and really nothing remarkable for me to talk about. If you are a fan of the movies then they are definitely worth checking out at some point, otherwise you can pass on them if you would like.

Adventure Island Series
August 27th, 2008 by admin
This was a series I am not too familiar with. The games were made by Hudson soft and ended up releasing three games under the adventure island series. Now these were platformers that had a twist to them. You could use differnt modes of transportation at differnt times like using a skateboard or something. These games were released over in Japan first before they were ultimately brought here to the United States. Another thing is the names would vary as they switched contries and were known by many different names. I always hate when they have like 4 names for a game and you get confused.

Projection Screens for big audiences
August 17th, 2008 by admin
projection screens are special screens used to project and display an image or a video. They are used in the movie theatres on a very large scale. These screens are helpful in serving different purposes in different places such as conferences, home theaters, corporate meetings, educational institutions and many more. These screens are installed in different ways. Mobile screens also have pull down screens but they are mounted on a free stand but the projection is not perfect. Some screens are flat or curved. Flat screens are the more preferred ones and are used for both back and front projection

Do You Moto?
August 12th, 2008 by admin
I figure it’s about time to trade in my old boring Nokie blue boring and simple cell phone and get with the present times and get something more functionable. After shopping around I settled on a Moto Q9 Global smartphone. I certainly wasn’t disappointed with my choice.
I was impressed with it’s worldwide capabilities. And since I have clients all over the globe this was a great selling point for me. I could use my new phone as a line for work related calls and always be in contact with my clients no matter where they were based.

So Many Cookies…
August 11th, 2008 by admin
You may find you’re actually comfortable with the answer to the question, “How do websites use cookies,” but you still feel a bit unsettled about all those thousands of cookies setting in your hard drive. You shouldn’t worry, though, because the cookies are just small data files that have no ability to do anything on their own but set in the Cookie folder until they’re used again by the website that they came from. Don’t forget, either, that because they’re so small, even thousands of cookies take up very little space. So, if you still feel like you should worry about cookies, don’t - they are truly as innocent as their name sounds.

Mobile phone mania!
August 10th, 2008 by admin
Finding the phone you want is not hard. Finding the phone you want at the price you can afford is a bit more of a challenge. With fuel prices being so high these days saving money on things like indispensible mobile phones has become a priority to most people. When you look for cheap phones you want a phone that is affordable not cheaply made or "discount" barrel quality. You can get that online at the mobiles site in the UK. I found a site that was so incredibly packed with stuff that I may never need to go anywhere else, even for information on the latest phones!
