Low Fat: a Popular Weight Gaining Myth

For decades we’ve been told to follow a low-fat diet for fear of high cholesterol levels and obesity. Everywhere you go you’ll see ads for “low-fat” foods as we have been taught to avoid fats at all costs.

Well, when it comes to your weight gaining efforts, you can stop being afraid of fats because the reality is that they play a very important role in the muscle building process and overall health in general. Not all fats are created equally though, and the important factor here is that you consume the right types of fat and in the right amounts.
