For a long time men who complained about stretch marks were marginalised by women, especially pregnant women who saw this particular ailment as squarely within their domain. However as the metrosexual becomes a more accepted figure within our society and men take a renewed interest in their appearance, male stretch marks are becoming more of a live issue. Particularly important here are adolescent men who are the most likely to suffer from rapid weight gain and thus stretch marks. This group find it very difficult to talk to role models about their problems and as a result become increasingly frustrated and depressed by the situation when what is actually needed is a release.
