Of Course I Love Sports

A vital fact that every young girl learns is that she must know something about sports if she wants to date a high school athlete.
So, at of sixteen, when I found myself being asked out by one of the high school’s football players, I did what any sane girl would do. I made it my business to spend as much time learning the difference between an end run and the “statue of liberty play” as I did between Algebra and Trig.
Soon I was rolling out terms like, “goal-line stand” and “touchback”. I attended every game and spent the entire time talking to my girlfriends about such weighty topics as prom dresses and the best acne cure.
But when I met him after the game, my conversation was so football oriented you would have thought I worked for the NFL. I was no fool.
