Enjoy Outdoor Living, but Beware of Skin Cancer

May 28th, 2009 by admin

Like the rest of us, I enjoy being in the garden, making the most of outdoor living. But, in view of the sharp increase in skin cancer cases being dealt with year on year I know it pays to be careful. Too much exposure to the sun is not good. According to reports from the medical profession, even people in their twenties are dying from this largely preventable disease, which is a sobering thought. Almost 2,000 of us die from malignant melanoma each year, and young girls in particular are putting their lives at risk. It seems that many of us just don’t take the threat seriously enough. The sunbed fashion has made things worse. With over 10,000 cases of skin cancer every year it’s high time people took more notice of the warnings before it’s too late.
