How To Create A Dog Bed Out Of Old T-Shirts

May 31st, 2008 by admin

A bed made from your old T-shirts can be appealing to your Labradoodle, or, if you have an old sleep shirt, use this method to make a bed for your Labradoodle. Making your dog a T-shirt bed is emotionally rewarding and money saving at the same time. All you need are one of your old T-shirts, some cotton batting or fiberfill, and thread.

1. Sew the arm and neck hole of the shirt shut.

2. Fill the top half of the shirt with a washable stuffing.

3. Sew a seam across the midsection of the shirt below the arms to keep the stuffing in the top half of the T-shirt.

4. Sew another seam from the center of the midsection to the bottom of the shirt, creating two sections in the lower half of the T-shirt.

5. Stuff both sections, then sew shut the bottom.

6. Fold over the sleeves and hand-stitch them to the underside of the bed.

You have now created a useful dog bed that has three pillowed sections. Put the bed where ever your dog likes to sleep.
