The stylish Bali Private Villa 5-bedroom Casa Mateo, complete with a 20 x 4-metre lap pool, is located in the lively Oberoi area on Bali’s southwest coast. The striking architecture is influenced by the Torajan houses of South Sulawesi with prominent triangular peaked gables to the roof. Set in a private walled garden, the main building comprises a spacious open-air living and dining area, three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a cinema room with wide screen projector, and a fully equipped modern kitchen and bar. A separate, single-storey, self-contained guest pavilion houses two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The predominant building materials are smooth creamy-white Palimanan stone, polished wood and ironwood shingle, with contemporary minimalist décor and furnishings enhanced by vibrant splashes of colour.
