Yesterday, as I was absentmindedly listening to the 4:00 news program on my way home from shopping, I caught a broadcast that actually grabbed my complete attention. The legislators in South Dakota are pushing to prohibit all payday advance financing at once. As the reporter was reading the story, I started to become distraught! The uninformed congressmen are blasting Online Payday Loan organizations for formulating financial problems for the poor and they strongly sense that pay day loan recipients must be shielded. I thought to myself, that it would be a great idea if they would likewise fix lenders that levy tremendous charges for overdrafts, electric companies that accumulate late charges and fees to re-connect service, and large charge card companies that out of the blue announce unfair interest rates.
