Gaius Baltar. Baltar is clearly a man of little ambition and drive at this point and is content to have won the election and settled on the planet. He pays no real attention to any of the problems facing the people and just spends his days partying in Colonial one despite repeated attempts by Gaeta to have him pay a dstti closer look at what is going on in the fleet. Gaeta has now become the assisstant to the new president and despite his best efforts he is unable to motivate Baltar to any kind of positive action for the people
