Two of the most effective ways of metal tube bending are mandrel of the ram style. But which one is better, and what are they used for? This post will talk about Mandrel versus Ram metal bending.

Ram Metal Tube Bending

This is the simplest and cheapest method and is suitable for bending electrical conduit and similar light gauge product. If your product requires something with a bigger circumference you may need to use Mandrel.

Mandrel Metal Tube Bending

This type of tube bending is used in the manufacture of custom exhaust pipes, turbocharger exhaust and intake tubing, dairy tubing and process tubing, heat exchanger tubing, and all stainless and aluminium tubing where a non deformed diameter finish is critical.
